BALLADIER AND FORESTER SINGERS TOUR IRELAND

Not even a freak spring snowstorm could stop them - our Choir students left for the Emerald Isle on Friday, March 21, and returned on Saturday, March 29. They had a wonderful trip, and their concerts were enjoyed by very appreciative audiences.

Applause is the music booster organization for Lake Forest High School in Lake Forest, Illinois. We hope you'll use this web site as a one-stop resource for the information you need about concerts, Applause-sponsored events, and what's happening in the Music Department.

Major Applause Events and Activities

Citrus Sale (October 3-31): Applause assists students who are going on the annual spring trip abroad to earn money for their trip by organizing the Citrus Sale.

Spaghetti Dinner (December 16): The centerpiece of the musical year, the Spaghetti Dinner is held in conjunction with the Holiday Concerts (Band and Orchestra in the afternoon, Choral in the evening). It’s a very festive day you won’t want to miss, and a perfect event to share with grandparents and friends.

Grammy Night (May 27): This is the time to say goodbye to our departing seniors and celebrate their four years of music at LFHS. The students "roast" the teachers with skits and songs, the teachers poke a little fun at the students in return, and a few tears are shed during the traditional student-produced slide show.

Receptions: Applause provides complimentary receptions after each concert, as well as after the Honors Competition. Volunteer bakers are always needed for these events!
